Fun Fashion Friday [NYC edition] - Treasure & Bond

Hello from NYC! Yep, I am currently visiting the best friend in the fashion capital of the world, so of course it is necessary to do a fun fashion Friday - New York edition. Welcome to my new favorite place on the planet. Meet Treasure & Bond

From a distance this may seem like another trendy boutique in the Soho district of New York City. Upon entering, however, there is an immediate realization that this is not your average store. Initially every sense was overwhelmed: books, purses, furniture, clothing, and jewelry. I couldn't take it all in. As I began to explore the store I found myself amazed by the various rare, handmade, and unusual items. Not only does this eclectic store feature everything from home furnishings to children's clothing, many of which are carry a philanthropic mission, the store itself gives back all of its profit to local charities.

One hundred percent of after-cost profits go directly to programs that benefit people in need within the community of New York City. It is a self-described part gift boutique, part art gallery and part neighborhood gathering place which revolves around the mission of giving. "To help people help people—and to do so with wit, imagination and style." (Source: treasureandbond.com/about)
As Diana and I were enthralled by the concept and amazing products, we couldn't help but fall in love with the people working there as well. We engaged with several friendly employees including Trevor and Phylicia. They told us they were not just sales people but were able to really be hands on, partaking in visual merchandising, buying, and branding. They were extremely knowledgeable on the various brands and causes that Treasure & Bond supports.
I fell in love with Phylicia's eclectic yet pulled together style. When I asked her about style inspirations she said everything. Her Nook/Neff watch, plaid vest and polka dotted bow-tie finished with a pair of crisp white converse screamed fun fashion. I love that cross over of masculine style into a female look. Her outfit is a bit of masculine perfection with a splash of pale pink. (Special thanks to this lovely lady for allowing me to feature her :))
Whether you're visiting NYC or live here locally, stopping here is a must. More than a store-- Treasure and Bond is an experience.
