What the heck is a Liebster?

I asked the same thing as I heard that I was nominated for this award by a lovely friend and blogger. “Liebster” is a German word meaning dearest, beloved or favorite, the Liebster Award is sort of a chain letter among bloggers that’s intended to showcase exceptional blogs you love. There isn’t some formal way to judge or a committee to determine who deserves it but in a way it’s even nicer – it’s recognition that one blogger enjoys and appreciates another. I think it's a lovely idea.
